Chargers Add LB James Holt

The Chargers will get the special teams help that Norv said they needed in the form of undrafted rookie linebacker James Holt. The former Kansas Jayhawk was signed from the practice squad today to replace released wide receiver Chris Chambers.

Holt (6-2, 223) was and All-Big 12 player as an outside linebacker last year at Kansas, but his size suggests more of a safety at the NFL level.  He runs a 4.59 40 yard dash, slightly above average for an LB, making him an ideal special teams player but not much else.
